This is an ongoing series I started in Berlin in 2014. I would buy a pack of blank postcards and start drawing with whatever was at hand: ink, charcoal or pencil. Most of these were born in the smoke filled interiors of bars and cafes, usually after a few pints. It was a way to unwind from the work of studio, to work out other subconscious ideas, or to simply keep busy while drinking. Looking back on these, I see many objects found only in Berlin. Some drawings became paintings. Some drawings were pulled from my past memories or recent events: places I could no longer go home to. Many drawings are just whim and humor or just quietly observing the surrounding scene. Do something creative each day.
